Who am I?

I'm Jon, living in Northampton, England.  I've been using PCs for years, and have had various Psion PDAs with no problems..  As Psion made a silly move and pulled out of the PDA market, I needed a device to take over from my trusty Psion Series 5mx.  So I brought a Dell Axim 400mhz PDA in April, and soon learned that you need a memory card to store large amounts of data.  And that's when it began; data going missing and cards needing reformatting.

Here's my CF to SD adaptor that allows dodgy SD cards to work in my Axim.  Er Dell, if it's not the Axim causing the problem, how come these cards work in this adaptor but not in the SD slot????

This adaptor converts SD, MMC, SmartMedia or MemoryStick cards to CF, so you can read any of these cards in your Axim via the CF slot.

If you look carefully you can see corrupted data in File Explorer...

The "Misleading Lexar Packaging" problem...

The retail packaging says "Made in Japan"...

... but the card says "China".  Lexar, this is ILLEGAL!!!!

(This problem actually caught Lexar out - they sent me this card as they thought it was Japanese; but the retail packaging makes it impossible to see the back of the card so they couldn't tell themselves that the card actually stated "China"...  If it catches Lexar out, what chance us poor consumers?!)
